Public defender faces new
A Palm Beach County assistant public defender on probation for driving drunk was arrested again on DUI charges this week, this time with her 7-year-old daughter in the car.
Over at the State House, a plan is being considered to replace South Carolina's existing DUI laws. Under the new proposal, sentences and fines for drunken driving would be based on a driver's blood-alcohol level and nothing else. The higher the results of your Breathalyzer test, the more hot water you'll be in, so to speak.
