Man Charged with Sixth
A local man faces felony charges for a DUI offense. David L. Staggie was arrested Saturday after he struck another vehicle while driving under the influence. This is Staggie's third offence in the last five years, and sixth offense overall.
After a year and a half, the families of the victims of a DUI manslaughter saw the man convicted of the crime sentenced to 22 years in prison. Cherie Ann McArthur, 49, and Cathleen Carter, 45, died in the accident while on their way home to Melrose.
