DUI arrests keep us
This week, Mothers Against Drunk Driving honored police officers who made the most drunken-driving arrests in McHenry County in 2005. But of the 383 arrests made by the officers, only 3.4 percent resulted in a driving under the influence conviction.
CARTHAGE–A large number of law enforcement officials and city officials from across Central Mississippi gathered at the Leake County Courthouse last Wednesday for the unveiling of a new DUI court designed to treat drunk driving offenders with the same "tough love" that comes through the established Drug Court.
