Sheriff's officer resigns after
A longtime Rutherford County Sheriff's Department officer has resigned after being arrested on DUI charges. Ralph A. Lehew, 57, a major in the department, was arrested on DUI charges early yesterday morning, Sheriff's Department officials said. He resigned from the department later that morning.
The Huntington Police Department will be conducting two DUI and seat belt checkpoints Thursday. The events will occur between 4 p.m. and 10 p.m. on Artisan Avenue and Olive Street in Huntington.
