Police charge St. Thomas man with DUI (Public Opinion)
Albert J. Schmid, 51, St. Thomas, was charged with driving under the influence after Pennsylvania State Police, Chambersburg, stopped him at 2:15 a.m. Monday at Hade and Jack roads.

PORTSMOUTH — The Portsmouth Police Department ranks one of the highest in the state in terms of the number of driving under the influence (DUI) arrests it makes each year. In 2004 only South Kingstown's police department recorded more DUI charges.
