For the past 10 years, Sgt. Bruce Hoffman, 49, of the Atlantis Police Department has spent most nights patrolling the streets. In 2004, Hoffman wrote 297 traffic citations and made 13 driving under the influence or DUI arrests, said co-worker Sgt. Sandy Lopater.
