DUI conviction stands despite
Iowa's high court says a deputy was justified in stopping a car he thought had no plates. A deputy's apparent mistake during a traffic stop wasn't reason enough to dismiss a drunken-driving charge against the driver, the Iowa Supreme Court ruled Friday.
Dianeshia Johnson was sentenced Thursday to 15 years in prison and five additional years of probation for causing a 2003 crash that killed a mother and injured her husband.
